(NAME)TAG FOR GIFTS- Align the appropriate size labels out of the paper bag, make a hole and put a ribbon through, write down the name or some beautiful wishes and attach it to the gift.
FIRPLACE STARTERS- Cut 10-15cm circles from a brown paper bag. Starting on one side, cut a continuous spiral into the center. Then, beginning in the outside of the swirl, roll the spiral around tightly. Dip them in candle wax (a very good option to use up the remnants of an old candles) or beeswax, allow to dry and store in a box. You can conveniently use them to light a fireplace or a grill.
CRAFT TABEL PROTECTION- Spread a bag or two under your craft projects to keep all your paint off your table.
FLOOR PROTECTION- If you are doing repairs and painting the ceiling or walls, cut the paper bags open and spread them on the floor to protect them from splashes of paint.
PROP UP BOOTS- Roll-up paper bags and stand them inside your high boots to keep them in shape.
RIPEN FRUIT FASTER- You can quickly ripen some kinds of fruits by storing them in a paper bag! This works for bananas, pears, peaches, avocados, and more. Just place the fruits inside, close the top and let it be for day or two. Fruit releases ethylene gas over time, and the paper bag will trap the gas inside which will cause it to ripen faster. (This won’t work in a plastic bag, because plastic will also trap in moisture and cause the fruit to rot.)
FLOWER POT COVER- Take paper bag and crumple it up- then smooth it out again. Repeat this process until the desired texture is achieved. Turn the paper bag over so that the logo is on the inside. Gently fold down the top edges of paper bag. Keep rolling the edges until the paper bag is the height of your pot. Place your pot in the paper bag. If desired decorate bag with ribbon.
PREVENT WEEDS IN YOUR GARDEN- Place plain (no dye) paper bags on the soil around your plants before covering with compost or mulch. It adds an extra layer of weed prevention for your plants!
