If your company has plans of changing some designs, measurements or extras in the near future, it would be smart to fit that in the ordering schedule. The earlier in the year changing process is started, the cheaper it is to produce new packages. Additionally material prices change regularly which usually means that package prices are usually higher reaching the end of the year.
In recent years package design follows the rule “Less is more” and this goes for the material and colors. Most popular materials right now are more natural looking kraft paper without any laminations. Instead of printing all the colors brands tend to pick one main colour and an accent colour to mach. These minimalist designs make packages look clean and stylish. Do not hide your product, but let the package bring it out.
Depending on the variety of your products package measurements need to be a little different, but that does not mean every product has to have a different size package. It is rather a reminder not to miss the right moment and later prevent mistakes that happened while rushing orders.
